Growing up in the city marked by the war and social upheaval played a significant role in her perception of art.

Her abstract artworks, often featuring bold colours, gestured strokes and expressive form, reflect her own experience with trauma, pain and emotional struggles. Not only is her art is aesthetically striking, but she offers a cathartic experience through her work, inviting viewers to explore their own emotional landscapes. Featuring abstracted human forms in soft colours that convey sense of isolation and introspection are especially present in her painting series called Observation. Thought-provoking pieces created to explore themes of identity, personal experiences, memory and emotions are inspired by her deep understanding of the human psyche.

Educated as a creative therapist, Danijela draws on her deep understanding of human soul and her own life experiences. Passion for creative therapy remains a driving force in her work, and she continues to explore new avenues for using art to heal and inspire. She creates a compassionate and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore innermost thoughts and feelings. Danijela’s approach to therapy is unique and highly effective. She combines traditional talk therapy with art-working activities – painting, drawing and work with clay, helping her clients to connect with their emotions and express themselves in new and meaningful ways. What sets Danijela apart is her prioritisation of human connection and her belief in the power of personal interaction. Danijela’s highly individualised approach to therapy is created to meet the sole needs of each client.
